Augmentiqs retrofits the pathologists existing microscope, opening up multi-directional communication with the pathologist’s PC and Internet. By utilizing the lab’s existing infrastructure, Augmentiqs allows the pathologist to collaborate directly from their desk, saving costs while vastly improving workflow efficiency.
Augmentiqs is easily integrated within the accessory port of the microscope, saving the expense of C-mounts & trinocular heads.
And as Augmentiqs does not scan the slide, but rather transfers only the region of interest as seen within the microscope eyepiece, the resulting low-data footprint with industry-standard security protocols allows for immediate and real-time image transfer without any IT worries or server configuration.

Augmentiqs enables real-time telepathology from the existing microscope.
CHARLES RIVER LABORATORIES conducted an 8-month Return on Investment (ROI) pilot study on the use of Augmentiqs for real-time telepathology. The study looked at savings in pathologist work hours, cycle time and logistic expenses.
Over the course of the study period, Augmentiqs was utilized by the remote CRL pathologists for numerous reasons including i) internal CRL telepathology consultation between the remote and on-site pathologists, ii) external client telepathology consultation, iii) online peer-review with external clients, and iv) capturing publication-grade images.
